Gangtok - Lachen - Gurudogmar - Lachung - Yumthang - Nathual Pass - Silk Route - Gangtok
Day 1
Siliguri to Pelling
After breakfast we ride to Darjeeling and in turn to Pelling. We ride along the toy train track and visit one of the oldest railway stations and make it to pelling.

Pelling to Mangan
We start our day a little early and cover Rimbi Falls, and Kanchenjunga falls, Khecheopalri Lake (a sacred lake, about 2 hours drive from Pelling, also known as wish fulfilling lake) and in turn make it to Mangan in time for our permits.

Mangan to Lachen
Drive to Lachen (9500ft), a village surrounded by snow-capped peaks and beautiful alpine meadows via Chungthang, another quiet and picturesque hamlet on the higher Himalayas famous for its proximity to the Kanchenjunga National park.

Lachen – Gurudongma Lake – Lachung
Start early this morning, and have breakfast at Thangu before you proceed for a ride through the Kanchenjunga National park, to Gurudongmar Lake.
After this, ride back to Lachen and end the day at Lachung.
Falling en-route, you will visit the Confluence of Lachen Chu and Lachung Chu at Chungthang, Bhim Nala Waterfall and Holy Rock at Chungthang.

Lachung – Yumthang – Lachung
Leave for Yumthang valley after breakfast, it takes an hour drive/Ride and the valley is situated at an altitude of 11800 feet. It is more famously known as the valley of flowers.
You will see the river Lachung Chu flowing right along the valley.
Yumthnag valley beautified with Yumey Samdong and Katao, two hot springs here is a favourite tourist spot.
Head back to Lachung later for your transfer to Gangtok

Lachung to Gangtok
Backtrack our route back to Y junction and inturn to Gangtok. We make it to gangtok just before Lunch and head out to the main city to explore.

Local sight seeing, shopping and a relax day

Gangtok to Aritar
We ride via Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir crossing nathula Gnathang valley, Zuluk and make it to Aritar.
Located at an elevation of 3753m/12,310ft, the Tsomgo Lake is an oval shaped lake nearly 50 ft deep and remains covered with snow for most of the year.
It is a haven for many migratory birds like the Brahmini ducks.

Aritar to Kalimpong
Post Breakfast, we trek to enjoy the views of Aritar and also experience a hidden holy lake. Once back we ride out and reach kalimpong via the back roads.

Kalimpong to Siliguri
Few of the Group members would stay back at kalimpong, the rest will be guided to siliguri, we drop bikes and fly back home.

Advisory
– As per state guidelines, Travellers wearing a turban are not allowed in Lachen.
– All Traveller including co-travellers must carry 2 passport size photo and 2 photocopies of a valid id proof along with the originals(voter id, passport, driving license, govt job dept id proof are only accepted). Travellers are recommended to share Soft copies with the tour operator on official WhatsApp chats/groups (Thrillophilia Chat groups) at least 3 days prior to the trip.
– Kindly Note that in Lachen and Lachung, there are limited availability of the hotels hence by default we provide only Standard and deluxe accommodation. Further for any upgradation you can contact us.
– Sarath Shenoy reserves the right to rearrange or change the itinerary for reasons that are beyond control like Natural calamity, weather conditions, road block etc.
– Nathula Pass is Indo-China Border which is operated by the Indian Army. There are some limitations to the entry of civilian therefore this place is optional in the itinerary.
– North Sikkim includes tribal villages like Lachen & Lachung which has beautiful scenic views of Kanchenjunga range however they are very remote destinations where the accommodation quality may vary compared to accommodations in Gangtok or Darjeeling. The accommodation is very basic in nature, One may not expect luxuries here. There are no star categories in remote destinations such as Lachen & Lachung
– Zero Point is not included in Itinerary & is optional. It is completely dependent on the weather.
– In case of unforeseen weather conditions or government restrictions, certain activities or sightseeing may be cancelled and in such cases, the operator will try to provide an alternate feasible activity when it’s possible. A refund may not be applicable & we may not be responsible for any costs arising out of unforeseen circumstances like landslides, road blocks, bad weather, etc
– The tour takes place through Eco-friendly zone; do not encourage littering the local sites or campsites.
